Insurance My DFW Dentist takes:
We are thankful that you have a dental plan as many patients do not have dental coverage. If your dental plan allows you to visit the dentist of your choice, then your plan is insurance my DFW dentist takes. As you decide which dentist to choose, there are a few things about dental insurance that we want you to know.
First: Dental insurance assists you in obtaining dental treatment, it is not a pay all; it is an aid.
Second: Your plan is a contract between your employer and the insurance company. The amount your plan pays is determined by how much your employer paid for the plan. The less they paid for insurance, the less insurance you’ll receive. Therefore, when your plan states it will cover 80% or 100% of the service rendered, your plan may only actually pay 60-80% of the dentist’s fee.
Third: The fact is dental insurance over the years has not kept up with inflation. In the 1960’s there was an average yearly maximum coverage of $1,000 per year, which would cover many dental services. Now 40 years later, the average yearly maximum is still $1,000, which doesn’t even pay for one porcelain crown. Unfortunately even though your premiums have inflated the annual benefit has not.
